Features · Public profile

A page of your own. Free, on every plan.

Your roles, your showreel, the kit you hire out, what you have for sale, and a form people can reach you on — at kitslate.app/profile/<your handle>. Publish it and it is in Find crew the same minute. Lead with your studio instead and the page becomes a local business to Google.

kitslate.app/profile/…
A published KitSlate member page — portrait, name and roles, the what-I-do chips, contact card with a map, and kit for hire
A published page. Kit for hire comes from the inventory; for-sale items from the market; enquiries come back to you.
01 · YOUR PAGE — what a visitor sees

Everything a client needs to decide, on one page.

Hero and portrait, name and pronouns, location and member-since, your links and bio, a WHAT I DO strip built from your roles and services, a contact card with a map, the showreel grid, what is for sale, kit for hire, the companies you work through, and a GET IN TOUCH form.

Studio, production company, freelanceThree chips on your card, worked out from what you publish and yours to override. Any mix is right — a studio that also takes production work and puts its owner up for hire is all three. They are the filters in Find crew.
A showreel, up to sixVimeo or YouTube links, mixed freely. Unlisted Vimeo links work with their private hash. Each field confirms what it recognised.
Kit for hire, from the inventoryPaste a ShareGrid listing URL on an item and it appears on your page at its public rate with a Request → button. Nothing else in the inventory is shown.
For sale, updating itselfWhatever you have listed on the market appears under FOR SALE and follows your listings as they come and go. Bio, roles and kit are a snapshot — re-publish after you edit them.
A second personFor a couple or a partnership: both portraits, both names, both sets of pronouns, your roles and theirs shown together.
A booking button that goes where you sayBook the studio → on a company-led page, Get in touch → on a personal one, pointing at whatever booking site you already use — or your own wording.
02 · YOUR ADDRESS — two handles, both always work

A person, or a business, at an address that never breaks.

Your handle is your own page at /profile/<handle>. A company handle is the studio's at /company/<handle>. Lead with yourself and Google is told about a person with job titles; lead with the studio and it is told about a local business with an address and services — the description that can win a map result.

Handles lock when you publishBefore then both are editable; afterwards they are read-only on every machine you sign in from, because there are links in the world to protect. Ask to change one and the old handle is retired, not deleted — it keeps resolving for good.
Old addresses redirectEvery address the page has ever had lands on the page. Move it deliberately, and the one that is not current sends people to the one that is.
Live or off, instantlyThe switch at the top acts the moment you click it, without publishing. Off takes the page out of view and keeps your handle, text and pictures exactly as they were; on puts the same page back.
Town or city, separate from your addressLocation is the street address on your contact card and map. Town or city is what Google and a pasted link use, so your page reads Founder in New York, NY rather than reciting a street number.
app.kitslate.app · profile
The Profile tab in KitSlate — the live switch, both handles and both addresses with a LIVE badge on the published one, and the link preview
Everything about your public page on one tab: both addresses shown at once, with a LIVE badge on the one that is actually published.
03 · ENQUIRIES — and the link people paste

When someone gets in touch, it lands where you work.

A message from your page arrives on Activity as an ENQUIRY card with the sender's name, email and message. Reply from there and it goes out through KitSlate with your company footer; raise the job from it with Create Production.

Your email is never shown by the formVisitors write to you through the page. If you fill in a Contact email it prints on the page — that is your choice, not the form's.
The link preview draws itselfPaste your page into Messages, Slack or LinkedIn and the card is drawn from your name, role, city, first three services and your tagline, with your photo. It is rebuilt on every publish.
In the directory automaticallyEvery published page is in Find crew, searchable by role, kit and city, filtered by Studios, Production companies and Freelancers. Services are the words the search matches on.
Pictures leave when you remove themYour photo, company pictures and logos are deleted the moment you remove one and republish. The page has to fit one record; if it does not, everything else publishes and the largest picture is left out, and it tells you which.

The enquiry card on Activity: the one thing on that page you can act on, so it is a full card.
QUESTIONS — the ones people ask first

Before you try it.

What does the page cost?

Nothing. A personal page is free on every plan, including the free Profile plan. Leading with a company — your studio taking the headline at its own /company address — is on Studio and up. See pricing.

Do I have to publish a page to use KitSlate?

No. Plenty of people run it purely as internal software and never publish a thing. The switch is off until you turn it on, and nothing else in the app depends on it.

Can clients book me from the page?

The page carries a button to whatever booking site you configure, and an enquiry form. You reply, then raise the job yourself. There is no self-booking calendar on the page.

Can I change my handle later?

Once published it is locked, because links exist. Ask to change it from the locked field and the old handle is retired rather than deleted, so anything already shared still arrives.

Publish yours today.

Sign up for the free Profile plan, fill in the tab, press Publish page. It is in Find crew the same minute.
